La Salle Avenue is a place of innovation, transformation and academic excellence! As an Academic English Mastery Program school (AEMP), it is our charge to provide culturally relevant and linguistically responsive lessons to the scholars daily as a supplement to the District curriculum. We have a staff of qualified professional educators and support personnel that are committed to providing our students many opportunities --- both inside and outside of the classroom --- for high caliber and quality learning, continual growth, leadership opportunities, and achieving at a high level of excellence! 

We are looking for amazing teachers who are able to design and implement a rigorous and differentiated Common Core based authentically culturally relevant and responsive curriculum that includes Cooperative Learning Centers, Cognitively Guided Mathematics (CGI) and effective implementation of a Balanced and Structured Literacy program in both English and Spanish from a social justice lens. (Spanish for our Dual Language Program only).

As La Salle Avenue is one of 53 schools part of the District’s BSAP (Black Student Achievement Plan), we are seeking teachers who desire to teach to meet the diverse and specific needs of Black students and who are committed to doing the work needed to ensure the academic success of Black students.

We are looking for fluent Spanish speaking teachers for our Spanish Dual Language Program who are passionate about increasing our scholars outcomes in becoming bilingual and biliterate.
