The partnership between our school site began in the Spring of 2019 with targeted professional development in the area of mathematics that was conducted by Dr. Kimi Wilson, Associate Professor at Cal State Los Angeles. In the Fall 2019, Dr. Wilson (math education) with Dr. Christina Restrepo (science education), and Dr. Jamie Marsh (literacy education) embarked on a professional development project focused on community based STEM integrating science, literacy, and mathematics to empower our teachers thus empowering students. 

This established partnership will continue in the Fall of 2020, as student teachers from Cal State, LA will be on campus serving under mentor teachers in various grade levels.
